Common questions
Quick answers.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. Install the studio free and pay only for generation runs you trigger. A Cinegenta account tracks your credits — no recurring charge.
- How do generation costs work?
- Credits are metered. Each batch shows a live cost estimate before you hit go. Buy credits as you need them — they don't expire.
- Can I use Cinegenta without internet?
- The desktop app runs locally — editing, timeline, and review work offline. Generation steps call remote model providers and need internet.
- Is my project data private?
- Yes. Cinegenta is local-first — scripts, characters, frames, and clips sit in your working directory. Nothing uploads unless you opt into a hosted tier.
